Why it matters
The mascots land between the anime's third season and its first theatrical film, both set for 2026, keeping merchandise in front of buyers during a year when the series has multiple releases.
Prototype production is by Matsuda Model, and release is scheduled for March 2027. The standard mascot is about 70mm tall, made of PVC.
The two mascots are the standard Maomao and Maomao Garden Party Ver., at 1,500 yen and 1,550 yen with tax included. Prototypes come from Matsuda Model, with release set for March 2027 and preorders open now at AmiAmi.
The standard version is PVC, roughly 70mm, and the pitch is portability: unlike a figure, it is meant to be carried around as well as displayed at home. Maomao is the pharmacist raised in the pleasure district who works at the Rokushokan after returning from the rear palace.
