Why it matters
The spinoff stage play continues the Baki stage franchise with returning lead Riku Noma and director-writer Daisuke Tanaka, adapting the isekai premise of the 2020 manga.
The show runs March 19-22, 2027 at Owl Spot in Tokyo, with Riku Noma reprising his role as Retsu Kaioh.
The Baki stage franchise is expanding beyond its main arcs. The new show adapts the spinoff manga that sends Retsu Kaioh into another world after his death in battle with Musashi Miyamoto.
Riku Noma, who played Retsu in the two previous Baki stage plays, returns for the lead role. Daisuke Tanaka, director and writer of those productions, is also back. The play runs for four days in March 2027 at Owl Spot in Tokyo.
