Why it matters
The kit bundles the remake series' Yamato variants into one purchase and adds a newly sculpted Cosmo Hound, so the release covers configuration choices that were previously spread across separate 1/1000 offerings.

Buyers pick one hull from two groups of forms seen in Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 and build two ships at once. The set includes an angle-adjustable display base, foil stickers and decals, and a newly sculpted 1/1000 Cosmo Hound.
The two groups split the Yamato's forms by stage: departure and Cosmo Reverse reception in one, first through third refit plus a Battle Participation Chapter Commemoration Ceremony paint scheme in the other. One ship comes from each group, giving a two-ship build from a single box.
Bandai Spirits also includes newly sculpted Wave Motion Gun parts with a revised shape, main gun positron shock wave effect parts in long, medium and short sizes (three of each), and onboard craft: Cosmo Zero, Cosmo Seagull, Cosmo Falcon, Cosmo Tiger II, the Type 100 Space Reconnaissance Plane and the Type 8 Prototype Space Boat. The instruction manual covers how the Yamato's design changed on the way to the remake series.
