Why it matters
The renewal shifts plan labeling from player slots to CPU cores, since the host found that processing power affects Enshrouded's performance more than concurrent player count.
The host says Enshrouded responds more to processing power than to concurrent player count, so it trimmed memory and storage to keep prices flat. The new configuration applies to new orders only. The renewal comes ahead of the game's Ver 1.0 release on October 15.
Bestnet LLC, based in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, operates the service. The company says it received complaints about sluggish performance and reviewed where to allocate resources. Enshrouded, developed by Keen Games, passed 5 million cumulative players in early access and releases Ver 1.0 on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 15. The new configuration applies only to new orders; existing contracts keep their current memory and storage. Enterprise backup generations rise from 15 to 30.
- Starter: 2 to 3 CPU cores
- Medium: 3 to 5 CPU cores
- Large: 6 to 7 CPU cores
- Enterprise: 8 to 9 CPU cores
