Why it matters

For one week starting November 1, 12 Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, Pochacco, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin, can be selected in FigJam, changing cursors, masking tape, sticky notes, and selfie frames. A free pop-up event runs in New York from November 6 to 8 with photo booths and limited gifts.
The characters are selectable inside FigJam until November 8, and the change is more than a skin: picking one swaps the cursor, the masking tape, the sticky notes, and the photo booth selfie frames. Figma designers worked with Sanrio on each character's color palette and personality, arranged so the details do not get in the way of the board's actual work.
The New York pop-up runs November 6 to 8, free to enter, with character-themed photo booths and limited gifts. Figma CMO Nairi Hourdajian and Sanrio Chief Brand Officer Jill Koch both framed the tie-up around making things with friends.
