Why it matters
Fan demand, evidenced by over 1.5 million views on the cover movie and comments requesting the character, has moved Akarin Rin from a subquest band member into a playable S-rank character.
She appears in the subquest 'The Beginning of a Certain Legendary Band (Or Is It?)' and covers 'Meigoe Sakebu' as the vocalist of the band Nekotori!!!!, a song from BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!. The cover special movie has surpassed 1.5 million views.
Akarin Rin arrives as an S-rank Phase attribute character, and the announcement image shows her posing with a guitar. In the story, she plays in a band with the protagonist, Nanari (CV. Taketatsu Ayana), and Hania (CV. Iwami Manaka). The official NTE YouTube channel posted the 'Meigoe Sakebu (NTE Cover Ver.) Special Movie', which had more than 1.5 million views as of August 24, and many comments asked for her to become playable.
