The announcement date was chosen, not incidental: staff marked November 1 as Wan Wan Wan Day, a pun on the Japanese bark. Esu Omori drew an illustration to go with the reveal.
The manga has a print footing in English already. Viz Media licensed it for digital release in January 2025, announced a physical release in February 2026, and shipped the first volume in print on September 1. The series also runs digitally on the MANGA Plus app. Shueisha will publish the ninth volume on November 4.
Osamu Yamasaki directs at TMS Entertainment, with Rio on character design. The story follows high schooler Kori, who moves into an apartment haunted by Mu, a Shiba Inu ghost.
