Level-5 Shows Snack World Reloaded Hands-On At Tokyo Game Show 2026

Three stages and a mid-boss fit into the Treasure Board demo. Clearing a stage yields a Jara as a reward, and branches on the board change which monsters and rewards appear. The demo's early stages let players level up fast, which makes detours tempting against the clock.

Weapon handling differs by type. The bow "Wood Shooter" attacks from range, while the axe "FL Pure Axe" hits hard per swing with long recovery. On PS5, the ZR button swaps Jara mid-stage, and the square button is a normal attack, triangle fires a Jara Waza, and a full gauge triggers Jara Break. Rolls use the circle button and cannot be input until an attack finishes, though a separate guard deploys quickly.

Medusa is a half-human, half-snake boss with snake hair. She swings her tail, slashes with claws, and fires orbs of darkness. Below half HP she blows the party away and petrifies companions with her snake eyes, so players hide behind pillars. Being turned to stone lasts until the player mashes the stick or takes a hit. Her technique is named "Ishinināru Senkō," and landing a hit makes her shout "Nani~!?"

Level-5 announced the remake on April 10, 2026, during its LEVEL5 VISION 2026 program. President Akihiro Hino described it as a remake "that could be called a new title." The original 3DS game launched in 2017, followed by Snack World: TreJarers Gold in 2020. No Snacks elements appeared in the demo range.
