The Ave Mujica film quintet arrived at a settled shape over three Yomimono stories. BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora opens in Japan on October 16, 2026, a date announced during a Bandori TV live stream that also introduced a trailer and key visual. The story picks up six months after the band's comeback, in spring, with Sakiko Togawa proposing a members-only masquerade and the narrative tracing her ambition to become a god. The film is a sequel to the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica television anime, which premiered in January 2025, animated by Sanzigen under director Kodai Kakimoto.
The later stories fill in the release machinery around that date. Advance tickets went on sale August 15 at theaters, online, and at Animate, with goods-included tickets at Comic Market 108 and the BanG Dream! STORE. A separate Animate campaign begins October 1, 2026, offering a Movieticket Card (2nd edition) with an Animate-exclusive A5 acrylic panel for 4,670 yen, comment videos from Rico Sasaki and Kanon Takao at stores nationwide, and Nyamu Yutenji as Animate Kyushu region promotional ambassador.
