Futabasha's two most recent campaigns center on its manga releases: a multi-partner free reading event for Oshikake Gal no Nakamura-san Volume 9 in October 2026, and an ASMR video tied to the 100th chapter of the Dragon Maid spin-off Elma's OL Diary in September 2026.
Futabasha's recent activity is a pair of promotions tied to specific manga volumes, both using free or audio content to extend a release past its street date. In October 2026, Futabasha's Action Comics published Volume 9 of Sachiko Orihara's Oshikake Gal no Nakamura-san on October 8. The launch was supported by free reading on multiple services: web Action ran all 35 chapters free until November 7, Nico Nico Manga ran 44 chapters free until November 6 with a newly drawn bonus chapter and weekly Saturday updates, and Amazon Kindle offered Volumes 1 to 3 free until November 4. Bookstores carried separate bonuses.
A month earlier, on September 10, Futabasha released an ASMR video for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Elma's OL Diary, read by Yuki Takada, who voices Elma. The video marked the spin-off's 100th chapter and depicts Elma encouraging a listener. Volume 12 of the series, drawn by Ayami Kazama from a story by coolkyousinnjya, went on sale the same day.
Across both stories, the pattern is the same: Futabasha pairs a new or milestone volume with an extra that exists outside the printed book, whether free chapters across several services or a performed audio piece. The company has not announced screen adaptations for either title in these stories, and coverage of the two releases is otherwise separate.
