Mika Akitaka's current work on the beat is the ROBOT Spirits Quin Mantha, the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ machine tied to the series' 40th anniversary. Bandai Spirits is releasing the figure, and Akitaka supervised the sculpt. He handled the mechanical design on the series.
Two stories describe the same release and diverge on the specifics. One lists a head height of about 230mm and a preorder time of 16:00 on Friday, September 18, 2026. The other describes a height of about 260mm, a price of 35,200 yen, and a preorder time of 18:00 the same day. It also calls the item the ROBOT Spirits Quin Mantha ~Marking Plus~ and says Akitaka supervised original markings, with shipping set for March 2027. Both place preorders at the Tamashii Web Shop inside Premium Bandai.
What holds across both is Akitaka's role. He is credited on the sculpt in both accounts, and the marking supervision appears in the later release details. The 40th anniversary framing is consistent, and both place the figure in the ROBOT Spirits line.
