Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid remains an active franchise across streaming, print, and merchandise. Crunchyroll added the film "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved" to its library in June 2026, and the spin-off manga "Elma's OL Diary" reached its 100th chapter in September 2026.
The four stories trace a franchise that is being maintained through licensed releases, spin-off publishing, and merchandise rather than through new anime production. The most recent theatrical entry, "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved," arrived on Crunchyroll on a Friday in June 2026, alongside the Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise film and the Given: Moments in Life OVA. That release moved a film with limited or event-only North American screenings into general streaming access.
The manga side is anchored by "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Elma's OL Diary," drawn by Ayami Kazama from a story by coolkyousinnjya. Futabasha released an ASMR video for the spin-off on September 10, 2026, read by Yuki Takada, who voices Elma, to mark the series' 100th chapter. Volume 12 of the spin-off also went on sale that day. The promotion leans on the voice cast and the chapter milestone rather than on any screen adaptation.
Merchandise continues on its own schedule. Q-six announced a 1/5 scale Ilulu figure in a bandage-style design, offered in a standard finish and a suntan variant with glossy skin, both with swap parts for a blushing face and a dragon arm. It stands 27 cm tall, costs 29,480 yen, and is set for December 2026. The main series also appeared in a weekly North American release roundup for August 9 to 15, 2026, which lists it among the anime titles shipping that week.
