The Zaku II is a recurring mobile suit subject in Bandai merchandise, including a lottery reissue of the RG Johnny Ridden's Zaku II kit and ceramic tableware released in 2026. Premium Bandai is also re-releasing a related Zaku II Kai kit.
The Zaku II appears across several 2026 Bandai product lines, each drawing on different parts of the Gundam franchise. In August, the Builders Note fan community announced a lottery reissue of the RG Johnny Ridden's Zaku II, one of four kits selected by fan votes. The sale runs August 31 to September 14, with winners announced September 18. This is the first full slate chosen through the Builders Note app.
A separate prize item turns the Zaku II and Char's Zaku II heads into ceramic bowls, releasing September 17. The bowls are functional tableware, shaped so the underside resembles a Zaku's face, with power pipe ridges recreated in detail.
In July, Premium Bandai re-opened orders for the RE/100 1/100 Zaku II Kai from Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. Priced at 4,290 yen, the kit includes a Commander Type head and a Fritz Helm head. It has an expanded range of motion, with a pull-forward chest armor and sliding cockpit block. BANDAI SPIRITS manufactures it in PS and TPE materials. The product page notes the photos show a painted prototype.

Bandai is releasing ceramic bowls shaped like the Zaku II and Char's Zaku II from the Mobile Suit Gundam series starting September 17. The bowls, which look like a Zaku's face when flipped over, feature a detailed design that recreates the power pipe ridges. They are functional tableware that can hold soup.
