Why it matters
Takara Tomy is selling two 2026-limited advent calendars at once, a standard Tomica set and a Disney Cars set, each with 24 daily presents and special die-cast cars, through Amazon Japan preorders.
The Disney Cars Tomica Advent Calendar 2026 pairs holiday Lightning McQueen and Mater figures with glow-in-the-dark tires. Both are limited production for 2026, carry a 5,280 yen reference price, and target ages three and up.
Both boxes open to reveal a play map: the standard calendar spreads into a party-venue Tomica town, while the Cars version builds out a Cars world. The standard set releases September 30 at 4,224 yen on Amazon, and the Cars set releases September 26 at 4,785 yen. Each of the 24 compartments hides a present, and the contents stay a surprise until opened.
