Why it matters
Shiki writing the scripts herself is the detail that matters here: the original author stays in the room while the manga is still running, which is how a serialized dark romance keeps its plot rather than getting compressed into an anime-original ending.

The manga follows Kate, a princess maiden with vampiric powers, who enters an arranged marriage with Luka, the mightiest king of the realm, to protect her motherland. On their first night the scent of his blood wakes what she is, and the bond becomes a question of contract, instinct, or love. The site calls the work a forbidden dark romantic fantasy set in an era of war.
Taeko Miura directs the sound at RD, and Kazuya Takahashi is credited with production supervision. Chapters and volumes have been available on Japanese digital services including honto.
