Ubisoft Adds New Game Plus to Assassin's Creed Valhalla on November 5
Ubisoft announced on October 29 in its Assassin's Creed: Fall 2026 Update video that Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets a New Game Plus mode on November 5, marking 40 million players.
Reporting from 1 source: GAME Watch (Impress).
Why it matters
The update sets a firm November 5 date for Valhalla's New Game Plus and confirms Black Flag Resynced has received its last major update, while Ubisoft leaves the door open on remakes ahead of the series' 20th anniversary in 2027.
Brand content head Jean Guesdon also covered the final major update for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, the PvP title Codename INVICTUS, Codename HEXE, and the Netflix live-action series. Ubisoft said no further remakes are planned after Black Flag for now.
The Valhalla addition arrives with its own balance adjustments, new runes and achievements, and a new quality tier, "Ten," plus a new material called Mithril used to upgrade Ten gear and runes. Patch notes due within days will list further additions.
Black Flag Resynced received its New Game Plus update on October 27, and Guesdon described it as the game's final major update. It also adds a Nightmare difficulty mode, a new takedown action, and cosmetic items, among them Blackbeard's outfit and Edward's London outfit.
Codename INVICTUS, a PvP multiplayer title, has finished a closed session with several hundred participants and is incorporating feedback asking for more Assassin's Creed character. Codename HEXE, teased in 2022, needs more development time, with details promised in 2027. The Netflix live-action series set in imperial Rome is near the end of production in Italy, and composer Hannah Peel has joined the project.
