AHS released Instrument X on August 26, 2026, an AI performance synthesis tool developed by Dreamtonics, the studio behind Synthesizer V. The software generates instrument sound from input notes rather than assembling pre-recorded samples. It runs on Windows and macOS, with a trial version available. Launch products include four collections covering strings, woodwinds, brass, and jazz combo, plus individual instruments. AHS download sells select versions at 10 percent off until November 4.
The software was built from scratch recordings by professional players, captured with a 12-sided speaker and an algorithm Dreamtonics developed for the product. It supports up to 11 microphone channels, including close mics, a Decca tree, and room mics, for studio-style mixing.
