Wistoria Season 2 Reveals Episode 6 Preview and New Trailer

The production committee for Wistoria: Wand and Sword released preview images, a synopsis, and a new trailer for the sixth episode of the show's second season. The episode, titled "The First Bloom," is the 18th overall and will stream on Crunchyroll on May 17. It follows Will Serfort as he finally enters the tower where Elfaria waits. His initial excitement fades when he and his peers face the Bloom, a ritual that grants color blessings based on faction affiliation. Sion, Colette, Lihanna, and Wignall, who were scouted during their school days, receive their faction colors. Will and Julius, who were not scouted, remain colorless and learn that unaffiliated mages are relegated to a life of manual labor supporting the tower. The season premiered on April 12 under chief director Tatsuya Yoshihara and director Hideaki Nakano at studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. The series adapts Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi's manga, which has 15 volumes in print and passed 3 million copies in circulation this February.

The new trailer and preview images arrive as the show topped the weekly Spring 2026 ranking last week, according to Anime Corner. The episode introduces the Colorless Garden, a town spread across the tower's first floor, where Will's excitement quickly fades. The ritual called the Bloom awards color blessings tied to faction affiliation, and the synopsis makes clear that those without a faction are consigned to a life of manual labor inside the tower.

Chief director Tatsuya Yoshihara moved into that role after directing the first season. Hideaki Nakano took over as director for the sequel. Ayaka Ono handles character designs and serves as chief animation director at Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. The second season's opening theme "BELIEVERS" is performed by ASH DA HERO, and the ending theme "Reachlight" is performed by Shiyui. The first season featured "Fire and Fear" by Penguin Research and "Frozen" by TRUE.

The production committee previously spoke with Anime Corner, and a producer on the show called the staff the "greatest to ever assemble." The manga by Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi began serialization in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on December 9, 2020. Omori is also the author of the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? light novel series. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English.
