The television adaptation of Yoneori's light novel series The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World will premiere in July on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, CBC, and AT-X. A new trailer, key visual, and four additional cast members were announced on Thursday. Sumire Morohoshi plays Aria, Shinnosuke Tachibana plays Senon, Shoya Chiba plays Ed, and Kaede Hondo plays Gomamiso. They join the previously announced leads Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi and Yuki Ono as Vil. The trailer previews the opening theme "Butterfly" by INUWASI. Onkan Lemonade will perform the ending theme "Holy Sweet Home." HIDIVE confirmed it will stream the series in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand as part of its summer simulcast lineup. The story follows Rin, a woman around thirty who is summoned as a saint alongside a high school girl, only to be exiled immediately when her camper van and survival skills are judged worthless. She discovers those skills are actually powerful in the right environments and sets off on a solo camping and cooking journey across the fantasy world, gathering companions as she travels.
The production team includes director Atsushi Nigorikawa, whose previous work includes Once Upon a Witch's Death and Zenryoku Usagi. EMT Squared is handling the animation, with Ankichi Kobo credited for production assistance. Takashi Aoshima is in charge of series scripts. His past credits include Himouto! Umaruchan and Kakushigoto. The novels' illustrator Akane Nitou is credited for the original character designs, and Izumi Ishii is adapting those designs for animation.
Hiroto Morishita is the sound director at Bit Grooove Promotion. Morishita's prior work includes 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life and Wistoria: Wand and Sword. Kana Utatane is composing the music, with Lantis handling music production. Utatane previously composed for Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill.
HIDIVE president John Ledford said the series is "one of this summer's most highly anticipated new shows." He added, "Gourmet and slow-life isekai are two of the hottest genres in anime right now and The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World combines both!" The light novel series, which Yoneori launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2019, has surpassed 600,000 copies in circulation, according to Anime Corner. Kadokawa began publishing the novels with Nitou's illustrations in 2020, and the sixth volume shipped in May 2024. Nana Kogami's manga adaptation launched on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in 2020, and its fourth compiled volume shipped in May 2025.
