The awards are voted by NMEA members, so a sixth category win gives Furuno a broader claim on the U.S. marine electronics market than the five categories it took last year.

Furuno Electric won Best of Awards in 6 of the 23 categories at the 2026 NMEA Best of Awards, hosted by the U.S. National Marine Electronics Association. Five of the wins are for Furuno products and one is for a product from partner company Nobeltec. The company says it has been recognized for 56 consecutive years since winning the Fish Finder category award in fiscal 1971, and that last year it won in 5 categories.
The 2026 NMEA Best of Awards are voted each autumn by members of the U.S. National Marine Electronics Association, who pick products for design, performance, and reliability from the marine electronics released that year. Furuno took 6 of the 23 categories, 5 for its own products and 1 for a product from partner company Nobeltec. The company traces its run of recognition to a Fish Finder category win in fiscal 1971 and says this year's total updates its consecutive award record. It frames the result as evidence its products are evaluated highly in the U.S. pleasure boat industry.
