HI-METAL R Layzner Ships With V-MAX Heat Dissipation Gimmick
The armor deployment and LED light-up translate the V-MAX activation sequence into a physical gimmick rather than a fixed display pose, which is where a Layzner figure earns its shelf space over earlier releases.

BANDAI SPIRITS releases "HI-METAL R Layzner" on October 17 as a general retail product priced at 29,700 yen including tax. The figure from "Blue Comet SPT Layzner" uses a completely new sculpt with proportions based on Kunio Okawara's design drawings. Armor on each part opens to expose internal parts and reproduce the heat dissipation state after V-MAX activation, while an LED in the neck ball joint drives a compound-eye light-emitting gimmick.
At roughly 165mm tall, the figure is built from ABS, die-cast, and PVC. The Laser Rifle is the included weapon, and the Knuckle Shot is handled with movable parts so punches can be thrown without swapping pieces. The backpack and two calf missiles can be removed, and the Laser Rifle mounts on the backpack.
A pilot figure of Eiji comes in two versions, seated for the cockpit and standing, with parts swapping to allow boarding, alighting, or riding on Layzner's left shoulder. The set also includes a replacement neck part for an upward-facing pose, a boarding wire, a replacement antenna, and a dedicated stand. Two LR41 batteries are sold separately.
