The Hirayasumi TV anime will air on NHK General TV starting January 2027, and a teaser PV has been released along with the main cast. Yuma Uchida plays protagonist Hiroto Ikuta, Mayu Takahashi plays cousin Natsumi Kobayashi, and Rikako Aikawa plays Hanae Wada, the elderly neighbor who hands Hiroto a single-story house in Asagaya.
The teaser PV also carries the first anime footage shown for the adaptation of Keigo Shinzo's manga, which has run in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since April 2021. A main visual shows Hiroto and Natsumi on the veranda of the single-story Asagaya house, with his friend Hideki, her art-school classmate Akari, the real estate agent Yomogi, and the garden flowers cared for by Ba-chan in the frame.
Uchida's credits include Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen and Ash Lynx in BANANA FISH. Takahashi came through the Kimikoe Project voice actor program, and Aikawa's roles include Tarou Fuguta in Sazae-san.
