Horror Roguelike Breakout Baby Announced for PC

The announcement pairs a familiar arcade structure with a deliberately grotesque childcare hook, and the developer's prior work suggests a taste for bizarre first-person action.

Horror Roguelike Breakout Baby Announced for PC

Publisher Assemble Entertainment announced BREAKOUT BABY, a first-person horror roguelike developed by STH. The game blends Pac-Man-style pellet collection with maze escape, as players carry a baby through an underground labyrinth while fleeing monsters. The baby can be shaken awake to reveal enemies, and items include rattles, pacifiers, and an iPad. A demo is available on Steam and itch.io.

BREAKOUT BABY puts the player in a first-person maze where collecting pellets opens the path to the next floor. The twist is the baby in your arms: its expressions signal nearby threats, and shaking it awake acts as sonar to expose enemy positions. The game also lets you give the baby a gun, and items range from rattles and pacifiers to an iPad.

The developer STH is an indie studio run by brothers. Their previous game DOLLMAKER fused first-person shooting with tower defense, and they are working on DOLLMAKER 2 in parallel. BREAKOUT BABY is set for release on PC via Steam and itch.io, with Japanese display planned. A demo is already available on both storefronts.
