Inti Creates Launches Azure Striker Gunvolt Triangle Edition on Switch 2 With Upgrade Pass
Inti Creates is selling the Switch 2 version as an upgrade path rather than a separate purchase, and it is putting the GX mode on PS5 and Steam at the same time, so the new content is not tied to the new console.

Inti Creates released Azure Striker Gunvolt Triangle Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on October 22, a bundle of the three Gunvolt titles plus all DLC. The packaged version costs 7,590 yen, the limited packaged version 16,280 yen, and the download version 6,480 yen, with a 1,500 yen upgrade pass for owners of the Switch version. The new edition adds a higher frame rate and 4K TV output, and the GX additional mode also shipped for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
The Switch 2 Edition bundles Azure Striker Gunvolt (2014), Gunvolt 2 (2016), and Gunvolt 3 (2022) with all DLC. Owners of the Switch version can move up through the 1,500 yen upgrade pass. The frame rate and 4K TV output are the hardware-side additions.
The GX mode is the content addition. It puts Acura, the lead of the spin-off White Steel X 2, alongside Gunvolt, with new weapons and an Inspiration system built on the two characters fighting together. Switch 2 players get GX inside the edition or the pass. PS5 and Steam players buy it as DLC, at 1,499 yen and 1,500 yen respectively.
A launch sale runs on the download versions and the DLC. The Switch 2 discounts end at 23:59 on November 4, with the download version at 21 percent off and the pass at 10 percent off. The Steam discount ends at 15:59 on November 5 at 10 percent off the GX mode. A release lottery is set for October 24 at Trader Akihabara Store 2.
