Jet Studio Opens Steam Page for Hex-Grid Roguelike Kaguraden

Jet Studio is a 3DCG production company founded in 2001 by members of Warp, and Kaguraden appears to be its first title as it returns to game creation, so this is a CG vendor stepping into publishing its own game.

Jet Studio Opens Steam Page for Hex-Grid Roguelike Kaguraden

Jet Studio opened the Steam store page for Kaguraden on September 18. The roguelike RPG is planned for 2027 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Players control Kagura, a boy of oni and human descent, through hexagonal-tile dungeons with elevation differences. It is playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026 from September 19.

The Steam listing fills in the shape of the game. Maps use hexagonal tiles rather than the square grid common to the genre, which allows a character to stand adjacent to as many as six enemies, and elevation is tracked, so positioning has a height component. Encounters are turn-based, and progression is roguelike: Kagura starts at level 1 on each run, and the dungeon structure changes each time.

Item counts are listed at 40 weapons, 30 shields, and 20 types of clothing, with unidentified items also appearing, plus 60 monster types in three ranks. Equipment and items can be carried back out, and synthesis, strengthening, and a village development system funded by money are included.
