Earth Star Novel announced on Thursday that Yasuaki Mikami's Looks like a Job for a Maid! light novel series is getting a television anime adaptation. The story follows Nina, a maid dismissed from Count Mirkwood's household after a false accusation, who sets out on her first solo journey. Kinta illustrates the novels, which began in July 2022; the ninth volume ships on October 15. Ayahito Kumagai's manga adaptation runs on Comic Earth Star.
The announcement came from Earth Star Novel's website, with no studio, staff, or broadcast window attached yet. The novels trace back further than their print run: Mikami first posted the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2021, and Earth Star Entertainment began publishing it with Kinta's illustrations in July 2022. Ayahito Kumagai's manga version launched on Comic Earth Star in October 2022; its seventh compiled volume shipped on May 13. J-Novel Club handles both the novels and the manga in English.
