M.A.P.P. Mouse Revival Adds First New Color, Red, After Blue Sells Out

Elecom will open reservations on September 7 at noon for a limited red color of the M.A.P.P. mouse, the revival of the 2002 design project with Masamune Shirow and Hajime Katoki. The red is the first new color in the series, tuned under Shirow's supervision, and sells for 12,800 yen. Blue, one of the three colors released in spring 2026, has already sold out. General sale is planned for late September.

The red M.A.P.P. carries model number M-SHIROW1FK and will be sold through the Elecom Direct Shop plus Yodobashi.com, Bic Camera.com, Yamada Webcom, Edion's official store, and Joshin's web shop. Reservations are quantity limited and close when the cap is reached. Each package includes one illustration card drawn by Shirow in the limited color version; rarely it is one of the limited illustrations, and either way one card is included. Black and white, the other two colors from the spring 2026 release, remain available at the same sites. Blue has sold out.
