Merry vocalist Gara organized the Daisuke Festival!! at Zepp Haneda on July 30 as part of the band's 25th anniversary project. The event brings together Merry, MUCC, and former Kagerou members to honor Daisuke, the late vocalist who died suddenly in July 2010. Gara, MUCC's Tatsuro, and Kazu contributed comments ahead of the show.
Gara said the idea came to him last year on the anniversary of Daisuke's death, when he was drinking with office staff and aie. He poured a beer for Daisuke and said, "Shall we do it now!" The office staff immediately secured Zepp Haneda, and Gara realized he had been maneuvered into committing. The event is part of Merry's 25th anniversary project Many Merry Days.
