NAMCO LEGENDARY Mountains 3D Puzzle Launches June 25

BeXide announced on June 11 that its voxel-based 3D puzzle game NAMCO LEGENDARY Mountains will launch on June 25, 2026, for PC via Steam, Mac, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is themed around classic Namco arcade titles, including Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Xevious, Mappy, and The Tower of Druaga. Players throw capsules containing voxels onto a floating disk, stacking them to earn high scores. The game features over 100 types of voxels, dedicated stages for each of the five classic titles, and a Collection Room where players can arrange acquired voxels freely. An online ranking system allows worldwide score competition. The standard price is 2,480 yen, and pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop offer a 10% discount until July 8. The game supports Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, German, French, Spanish, and Italian.

The game is developed by BeXide, a studio founded in 1999 that is best known for the PlayStation series "Doko Demo Issho" and its mascot character Toro. The company describes the game as a "new visual experience" that preserves the "charm of dot graphics" while expressing them as voxels, achieving "both nostalgia and a new visual experience."

The puzzle system is built around "intuitive controls of throwing and stacking capsules, combined with evolution through merging and strategic score increases from chains." The game includes both main stages that mix elements from multiple titles and dedicated stages for each of the five classic games. Sound effects "incorporate musical essences evoking memories of the time."

Players can obtain new voxels by "clearing various conditions" and then arrange them freely on the main stage. The Collection Room allows players to "create homages to memorable works or dream crossover spaces." An official promotional video is available on YouTube.
