Null-Meta Anime Set For 2027 With Soigne And Director Kai Ikarashi
A Kirara Max four-panel comedy handed to a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 director and a Soigne team is an unusual pairing, and the 2027 date gives Aniplex a long runway from a November tease to broadcast.

Aniplex announced on Sunday that Kokamumo's four-panel manga Null-Meta is getting a television anime in 2027. Kai Ikarashi directs at the studio Soigne, with Tatsuya Takahashi on series scripts and Shin Ogasawara designing characters. The slice-of-life manga centers on the really dumb android Kurumi, her guardian Chiaki, the easily amused Sakina, and Shiyuki, following their high school life as they remodel and dote on Kurumi.
The production credits point somewhere other than the usual Kirara adaptation bench. Soigne, which handled mono and Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk, takes the animation, and Kai Ikarashi directs after Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. Tatsuya Takahashi writes the series scripts, and Shin Ogasawara designs the characters.
Kokamumo's manga has run in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max since March 2020, and the sixth compiled volume came out on January 27. The premise is a high school comedy about tending to an android, not a plot engine, so the staff list is the main thing to read here.
