Record of Lodoss War: The Crown of the Covenant Novels Resume With Manuscript Posting
A novel series left unfinished since its 2019 first volume is coming back in partial form rather than as a finished book, which keeps the Mizuno line alive while the wider Record of Lodoss War franchise expands through the Queen of Death webtoon.

Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko imprint announced Friday that Ryo Mizuno's Record of Lodoss War: The Crown of the Covenant novel series is resuming. Volume 2 will take more time, so the imprint will publish part of the manuscript on Kakuyomu on October 22 at 5:00 p.m. JST. Kadokawa published volume 1 in September 2019 with illustrations by Hidari.
Sneaker Bunko's announcement names a date and a venue but no volume. Part of the manuscript goes up on Kakuyomu on October 22 at 5:00 p.m. JST, which is 4:00 a.m. EDT, while the imprint says volume 2 still needs time. The first volume arrived from Kadokawa in September 2019 with illustrations by Hidari, and Atsushi Suzumi's manga adaptation followed in October 2019, later released in English in three volumes by Udon Entertainment. The franchise also runs in another direction: Queen of Death, a webtoon from Studio White, launched globally in August 2025 after a South Korean launch in May 2025.
