Advance lottery reservations run from September 5 to September 17, with general sales from September 19 to October 6.
The film is a new adaptation of Ryuji, reimagined 43 years after the original, which became legendary after lead actor and screenwriter Masatsugu Kaneko died eight days after its release. Set in Kabukicho from 1984 to 1990, it follows yakuza Ryuji, played by Yagura, as he tries to leave the underworld for his wife Mariko and newborn son.
Eight scene stills show Ryuji with his underlings Nao and Hiroshi, a tense encounter with senior Nitta, and quiet moments with Mariko.
