Satoshi Urushihara's First Art Book in a Decade Arrives in September

Satoshi Urushihara's first art collection in about 10 years, 'Satoshi Urushihara Art Collection -GLOSS & SHADOW-', will be released on September 28, 2026, by Frontier Works. The book contains over 130 illustrations from 2015 onward, including Langrisser and Monthly Young King works, plus new drawings. A reprint of his 1994 collection 'Satoshi Urushihara Cell Works' also ships that day. An exhibition in Shibuya and Hiroshima will feature cels, merchandise, and autograph sessions, but is restricted to adults.

The exhibition accompanying the releases will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo, and Hiroshima, Urushihara's birthplace, but entry is limited to those 18 and older. The new collection, priced at 3,960 yen, includes over 130 illustrations from 2015 onward, covering work from the game Langrisser and the magazine Monthly Young King, plus new drawings. The reprint of Satoshi Urushihara Cell Works, originally published in 1994 and now a premium item, costs 4,950 yen and will be available mainly at select specialty stores. Melonbooks will offer a clear file as a bonus for the new collection.
