Fullbright's name still carries weight from Gone Home, and this release puts a Steve Gaynor-led project back in front of players under a different publisher, with a demo doing the early work.

Springs, Eternal Sets November 12 Steam Release With Free Demo

Serenity Forge will publish Springs, Eternal, the exploration narrative game from Fullbright, for PC via Steam on November 12, 2026. A free demo is out now. Players explore Stillwater Springs, a remote night-time hot spring resort, with a flashlight, meeting more than 12 characters across over 30,000 words of dialogue. Japanese is supported.

Springs, Eternal is played in first person, with the resort's lit lodge, dark forest, and underground caves as the terrain and nothing but a flashlight for company. The guests carry their own circumstances, and the writing runs past 30,000 words of dialogue, including the protagonist's memories of a past romance. Fullbright is the studio behind Gone Home. Co-founder Steve Gaynor, who worked on the scenario and design of that game and the Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2, said in 2023 that he was moving to solo development after workplace environment issues concerning his own conduct and remarks. He is making this game mainly alone, with outside assistance.
