Desktop Mate Sister App Calculator Launches July 22 With Hatsune Miku DLC
Infinite Loop announced on July 16 that its desktop mascot platform Desktop Mate will get a sister app, Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets, releasing on July 22. The app is a free-to-use digital calculator available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Mac App Store), iOS, and Android. Characters appear in the background and react to button presses with spoken numbers and poses; pressing '=' sometimes triggers a struggle animation. A performance mode turns the calculator keys into piano keys, with the character singing. The base app includes Infinite Loop's mascot Aierutan voiced by Milia. Additional character DLCs cost 440 yen each. The first DLC, Hatsune Miku, launches simultaneously on July 22 with newly recorded voice lines and four theme designs. Special reactions occur for specific results like '39'. Infinite Loop also plans future widget apps beyond the calculator. Separately, a Desktop Mate DLC for Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2026 Ver. will release on Steam on July 23 for 2,200 yen, and Desktop Mate will have booths at all three Magical Mirai 2026 venues.
