Atlantis Models is re-releasing two vintage plastic model kits originally from the former Aurora Company: the 1/125 U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker and the 1/48 WW.II German Army Panzer V Panther. Both kits are scheduled for import and sale by Platz in October and November 2026.
Premium Bandai opened reorder reservations on July 31 at 11:00 JST for two Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture plastic model kits: HG 1/35 Zi-Artemis at 9,900 yen and HG 1/35 Zi-Apollo at 5,500 yen. Both ship in October 2026. Combining the two reproduces the Zi-Ortegia. Production quantities are limited, and orders close when the prepared amount is reached.
Hiroyasu Kobayashi, CGI director of the Rebuild of Evangelion films, is directing the Tiny Metal: Zero Line anime at studio SAFEHOUSE. The pilot episode premiered at Japan Expo 2026. The anime is based on AREA35's tactical game series. Character designer Yūsuke Kozaki and composer Gō Shiina are attached. The game sequel Tiny Metal 2 is scheduled for spring 2027 on PC.
The manga adaptation of Heiseiowari's The Kind Adventurer and the Reincarnated Girl is listed to end with its fourth volume, scheduled for release on August 10. The series launched in December 2024 and will conclude after less than two years. The original novel series continues, with its third volume released digitally in June 2025.
Nissan will release a limited-edition NISSAN GT-R BE@RBRICK 100% & 400% set on July 2, 2026, as the third collaboration between the automaker and the art toy brand. The design pays tribute to the R35 GT-R, which ended production in August 2025, using a Midnight Purple finish and rear-lamp-inspired graphics. The set costs 22,000 yen and will be sold at Nissan's online shop, headquarters boutique, and Nissan Crossing, with a limit of two per person.
Area 35 exhibited playable demos of Tiny Metal 2, Project Blitz, and Felicity's Door at BitSummit PUNCH in Kyoto. Tiny Metal 2 was delayed from within 2026 to spring 2027 for quality improvements. Representative Hiroaki Yura discussed the anti-war themes behind the Tiny Metal series and the studio's focus on reviving classic game genres.
AREA35 will debut a playable demo of 'Tiny Metal 2' at BitSummit PUNCH in Kyoto, May 22-24. The turn-based strategy sim adds naval warfare, over ten new characters, and cooperative play. A party game spinoff, 'PROJECT BLITZ,' will also be on display. The Steam release is planned for spring 2027.
