Newcore Games Announces Top-Down Roguelite '7 Trials'
South Korean indie studio Newcore Games announced '7 Trials', a top-down roguelite action game blending traditional Korean underworld mythology with urban occult aesthetics. Players become a temporary death god surviving seven trials over 49 days in a distorted academy. The game features a three-layer build system with over 20 spells, 45 offerings, and 60 fate cards, plus up to 4-player online co-op. It is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version to be decided. A demo is planned for mid-2026, early access on Steam in late 2026, and full release in Q2 2027.
