Google Joins Agent Plugins as Core Maintainer Alongside OpenAI, Microsoft, Amazon
Google has joined the open specification Agent Plugins 1.0.0 as a core maintainer, alongside Amazon, Cursor, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Vercel. The specification standardizes how AI agent skills and MCP servers are bundled, allowing different AI clients to load the same package. Google will support the format in its own products.
