The Cat And The Dragon Gets Second Season For 2027
The Cat and the Dragon (Neko to Ryu) will return for a second television season in 2027. The announcement came after the first season's finale aired on September 19, 2026. A season 2 announcement trailer was released together with celebratory illustrations. Author Amara, novel illustrator Mai Okuma, manga artist Izumi Sasaki, and co-character designers Chiaki Kurakazu and Rie Nishino each drew or shared an illustration to mark the news, according to Anime News Network. Crunchyroll will stream the second season. The first season was directed by Jin-Koo Oh at OLM, with Mitsutaka Hirota on series scripts, Rie Nishino and Chiaki Kurakazu designing characters, Takahiro Obata composing music, and Noriyoshi Konuma as sound director. The cast includes Takehito Koyasu as Nekoryu, Kikuko Inoue as Mama-nyan, Fuka Izumi as Shirotae, Show Hayami as Kurobane, Noriaki Sugiyama as Haibuchi, and Maki Kawase as Chiikuro.
