Suikoden Anime Reveals More Cast, amazarashi Opening Theme in Second PV
The staff for the Suikoden anime, adapting Konami's Suikoden II game, revealed three new cast members and a second promotional video on July 5. The video debuts the opening theme song "Kanashimi Sae Otonabite" by amazarashi. The new cast includes Jin Yamanoi as Agares Blight, the king of the Highland Kingdom; Miyuki Sawashiro as Anabelle, the mayor of Muse City and chairperson of the Jowston Alliance; and Kodai Sakai as Jess, the deputy mayor of Muse City. The anime will premiere in October 2026 on Tokyo MX, Kansai TV, BS Asahi, and 29 other stations across Japan, for a total of 32 channels. The first episode will be a 60-minute extended special. Before the broadcast, a two-week advance premium screening of episodes one through three will run at 10 theaters nationwide starting August 21. A stage greeting event with five main cast members is scheduled for August 23 at Shinjuku Piccadilly. The staff also announced a manga adaptation titled "Gensō Suikoden The Anime ~Honmono no Eiyū~" drawn by Kochiya, set to debut in Comic Dengeki Daioh volume 155 on July 27.
