The Spring 2026 anime season rankings for the week of May 6-12 show Witch Hat Atelier maintaining its lead for the second consecutive week, according to Anime Trending's chart. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 made the largest jump on the Anime Trending chart, rising six spots to fourth place, and Dr. Stone: Science Future entered the top ten at tenth. In the character polls, Coco and Qifrey from Witch Hat Atelier held their positions as top female and male characters. The couple ship chart saw a change, with Maki and Umi from I Made Friends With the Prettiest Girl in My Class taking first place, displacing Amane and Mahiru from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2. The Anime News Network cumulative ranking also featured Akane-banashi at third and Nippon Sangoku at fourth.
