Touki Denshou ANGEL EYES Joins Console Archives on August 13

Hamster announced on August 12, 2026, that the fighting game Touki Denshou ANGEL EYES will be released for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 through its Console Archives series. The game, originally released by Tecmo in 1997 for 32-bit home consoles, will be available starting August 13 at a price of 1,200 yen. Players take on the role of one of the Eight Angels, battling other angels to become the Great Angel. The Console Archives version is based on the home console release, adding Story Mode and Training Mode that were not in the arcade version. The game first appeared in arcades in 1996 and features a mix of 2D and 3D character graphics, with all-female characters. It includes systems such as multi-stage jumps, chain combos, and homing attacks. The Console Archives series aims to faithfully reproduce classic games on modern hardware, with features like button customization and save-anywhere functionality. The arcade version was previously released for PS4 and Switch in 2022 under the Arcade Archives label.
