Sao Paulo Studio Ignite Dreams Self-Funds Soulslike Bloodfang With Rabbit Protagonist
Ignite Dreams, a small independent studio in Sao Paulo, showed its in-development action RPG Bloodfang at Brasil Game Show 2026, held at Distrito Anhembi in Sao Paulo from October 9 to 12, 2026. Environmental artist Gustavo Felipe Simoes presented the PC title, which has no release date. The game is a soulslike built around combat, with the player controlling Thalios, a rabbit warrior. Its unusual hook is negative emotion as a power source: anger, sadness, and fear each grant different combat boosts, triggered as temporary enhancements or attacks. Anger builds up when Thalios takes damage. Using these emotions often makes enemies more aggressive or stronger, and losing control can reverse the fight. The demo was made over about 10 months. Development has run nearly two years, with major revisions to the plant-drawing system and rebuilt movement and combat. Exploration covers dark forests, forgotten temples, and ancient ruins, and a skill tree is a major development goal.
