The BanG Dream! franchise's official YouTube channel began streaming a new trailer for the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora anime film on Monday, and it previews Ave Mujica's song "A Song of Romance." The film opens in Japan on October 16. The Ave Mujica television anime premiered in Japan in January 2025 and was animated by Sanzigen under director Kodai Kakimoto, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired. A sequel television anime covering BanG Dream! It's MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica will premiere in January 2027, airing on NTV and 29 affiliated channels in Japan. The voice cast includes Kanon Takao as Sakiko Togawa, also known as Oblivionis, plus Yuzuki Watase, Rico Sasaki, Akane Yonezawa, and Mei Okada. The franchise's earlier It's MyGo!!!!! series ran from June 2023 and spawned two compilation films in 2024.

The BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora anime film will open in Japan on October 16, 2026. The date was announced during a Bandori TV live stream on Thursday, which also debuted a new trailer and key visual for the project. The film is set six months after the comeback of the band Ave Mujica, with the story taking place in spring as the group's popularity grows and each member's activities gain momentum. Sakiko Togawa, the band's leader, proposes a members-only masquerade as their next stage, and the narrative follows her ambition to become a god. The film is a sequel to the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica television anime, which premiered in Japan in January 2025 and was animated by Sanzigen under director Kodai Kakimoto.
