Bookshop Simulator Officially Launches on Steam With Multiplayer
Blep Games released Bookshop Simulator on PC via Steam on July 21, graduating the bookstore management sim from early access after roughly 10 months. The full launch adds a long-awaited multiplayer mode supporting up to four players, who can cooperate on running a single store with division of labor. A new location, the Cotswolds in England, joins the existing settings of Lyon, France, and Yamanashi, Japan. Players can also now distribute flyers in town to attract customers. The game carries an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam, with 95% of 1,234 user reviews positive as of launch. A commemorative sale offers a 15% discount, dropping the price to 1,530 yen until August 4. Future updates are planned, including new items, expanded workshop support, and additional locations. The base game lets players order and sell books, comics, and board games, hire staff to automate checkout and stocking, decorate the store with furniture and wall art, adopt a shop cat, and open branches in different countries, each with its own scenery.
