Bose Acquires FMOD Developer Firelight Technologies
Bose announced on October 1, 2026 that it acquired Firelight Technologies, the Melbourne-based developer of the FMOD interactive audio platform for games. Firelight has provided audio production tools for games and real-time applications for 25 years. FMOD will continue to be provided and supported, with existing developers, partners, and customers covered. Bose says it will keep investing in FMOD development and its community.
