Wild n Chill Demo Launches on Steam From Cast n Chill Developer
Wombat Brawler released a demo for its pixel-art survival game Wild n Chill on Steam on August 6. The game is the new project from the team behind the fishing game Cast n Chill. Players explore the wilderness of Black Bear Hollow, managing food, water, and energy while hunting, fishing, and gathering. The demo covers the first area, Coldwater Crossing, where players learn basic survival skills like crafting simple tools and building a shelter. Non-player characters include a hermit named Buck who trades goods. The full game will feature a canine companion that helps retrieve prey and detect danger, more than 40 animal species, over 20 fish species, and mythical creatures. It supports up to four players in online and local cooperative play, with 11 areas planned across coastal, wetland, rainforest, and snowy mountain environments. The full release date is undecided, but the Steam store page is live and Japanese language support is confirmed.
