Cygames Launches New Brand CygamesEdge With Debut Title Where the Seeds Fall
Cygames announced on September 4, 2026 the establishment of a new game brand, CygamesEdge, along with its first title, Where the Seeds Fall (Horaku no Kuni). The brand focuses on small- and medium-scale development, operating under the keyword "Stay on the edge." Where the Seeds Fall is a dramatic falling action adventure in which a soldier descends from a nation built atop the World Tree to the polluted ground below, encountering an "accursed child" who bears the likeness of his deceased daughter. The game centers on controlling falls by reading footholds and wind. The main story lasts about three hours on a first playthrough, with high-difficulty maps and time attacks available after clearing. Where the Seeds Fall releases on November 5 as a download-only title for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam, with pricing to be announced. The game is being developed jointly with Zereo Inc., known for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Tactics Ogre: Reborn. CygamesEdge also opened its official website, YouTube channel, X account, and Discord server alongside the announcement.
