D-topia Launches Today, AI-Managed Paradise Puzzle Adventure
Annapurna Interactive and Kyoto-based indie studio Marumittu Games released the puzzle adventure D-topia on July 14, 2026. The game is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a price of 2,300 yen and a 10 percent launch sale on all platforms. Players take on the role of a facility maintenance worker in D-topia, a residential area fully managed by an artificial intelligence designed to maximize happiness. The core loop involves solving logic puzzles and interacting with residents to maintain order and resolve problems. Players can switch between the optimized, visually perfect world and the real world called Block Side, where glitches and hidden truths appear. The story branches based on player choices, leading to multiple endings. Developer Yoko Shiino stated that the future depicted in the game is not a fantasy but inspired by real possibilities, and she hopes players will reflect on what true happiness means. The game is Marumittu Games' third title, founded by former Q-Games and Level-5 staff.
