Shueisha announced on September 30 that its outsourcing contract with editor Shihei Lin and with Mix Green Inc., the company where Lin is representative, ended as of July 31. The arrangement covered editorial operations for titles on the Shonen Jump+ app. Lin has worked as an editor on Chainsaw Man, SPY x FAMILY, and Dandadan. According to the announcement, the works he oversaw will continue serialization on Shonen Jump+ under a new structure. Shueisha did not name a replacement editor or give a reason for the end of the contract. The three titles named in the cluster are among the platform's best known. Shonen Jump+ is Shueisha's manga app and web platform. The announcement addresses only the outsourcing arrangement, not the status of any individual series. No date was given for when the new editorial structure takes effect beyond the July 31 end of the contract.

TZUYU, a member of TWICE, will perform the official theme song for the Atlassian Williams F1 Team and anime DAN DA DAN collaboration. The original song is planned for release in early 2027, ahead of the F1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, and an original music video is confirmed. The song title, release date, and video details will be announced later. Special collaboration merchandise is also planned.

Smart Share Inc. developed and provided an AR photo feature for the Dandadan booth at Anime Expo 2026, held July 2-5 in Los Angeles. The browser-based web app requires no app install; visitors scan QR codes to collect digital stamps that unlock photo items such as characters, frames, and stamps. Photos are processed and stored on the user's device, not sent to servers. Smart Share handled planning, UI/UX design, system development, and event implementation.

In an interview with Real Sound Anime, director Abel Gongora and animation producer Mitsuru Triangle discussed Science SARU's approach to the Tentai no Jardugal TV anime. The studio took on the project not to extend its history anime legacy, but to pursue new visual expression. The team consulted Mongolian and Persian experts to balance historical fidelity with animation.

GEEKS RULE is holding a world tour with PARCO, selling collaboration T-shirts based on Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, and Neon Genesis Evangelion across three cities. The tour starts in Taipei on August 1, moves to Hong Kong on August 8, and ends in Seoul on September 5. Six shirt designs are available, with some items planned for later release in Japan.

The 30th volume of Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga ranked #1 on Circana BookScan's Top 20 adult graphic novels list for June. The chart featured 17 manga volumes, including multiple Jujutsu Kaisen entries, Chainsaw Man volume 21 at #2, Gachiakuta volume 1 at #6, and The Summer Hikaru Died volume 1 at #8. Other titles include Witch Hat Atelier, One Piece, Demon Slayer, Dandadan, Blue Lock, and The Apothecary Diaries.

Oricon's monthly comic ranking for June 2026 placed That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime volume 32 at #1 with 270,780 copies sold. Chainsaw Man's final volume ranked #2, and DAN DA DAN volume 24 ranked #3. The top 20 list covers estimated print sales from June 1 to June 28. Slime volume 32 was initially reported as the final volume but later corrected to the latest volume.

A pop-up shop for the TV anime Dandadan, titled Street Style ver., will run from June 5 to June 21, 2026, at the Bushiroad Creative Store Akihabara Main Store. The shop features newly drawn illustrations of characters including Okarun and Momo in street fashion. Merchandise includes acrylic stands, clear files, acrylic keychains, and a mascot keychain of Turbo Granny as a maneki-neko. Customers who spend at least 3,000 yen per transaction will receive a random hologram sticker from a set of five designs. The event is timed after the broadcast of the first two seasons of the anime, with a third season already announced. Dandadan is based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized in Shonen Jump+, and follows high school students Momo and Okarun as they confront supernatural phenomena.

Pxrge Trxxxper, the 19-year-old winner of ABEMA's 'RAPSTAR 2025', released his first album 'REVERSAL' on May 15. The 10-track album features guest appearances from Jin Dogg, Benjazzy, DADA, Leon Fanourakis, Yvng Patra, Young Zetton, and ZERRY, with production by the OVER KILL team led by FUJI TRILL.
